The work of Canadian visual artist Jennifer Wanner draws on both art-historical conventions and various scientific objective means of observing and representing the natural world – botany, genetics, and the camera. Her collages, watercolours, photographs, and stop-motion animations attempt to operate between two Romantic realms: fascination with mastery over natural processes and unease with what our technology might unleash.
